We are proud to be a company where loyalty is in our DNA. We currently employ 65 staff and the incidence of staff departing is relatively low compared to other sales orientated organisations.
We actively promote staff performance to our clients and duty-free retailers and believe staff should be rewarded in exceptional circumstances. This takes the form of cash or gift rewards or trips overseas to visit client sites.

Toni Martello – Director
Languages: English, Italian, Japanese, French and Spanish
I believe the key to achieving outstanding sales results is passion for the industry that you work in, as well as personal and business integrity. In addition the ability to recruit and retain amazing staff and a commitment to clients and their interests is paramount.
Having worked extensively in the duty free sales sector for 43 years, initially engaged as a sole contractor, I recognised the inherent inefficiencies with the sales model prevailing at the time, which led me to the creation of Azzura One. It has progressively grown to a workforce of 65 high calibre staff operating across Australia, with amazing people who speak a diverse range of languages including English, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish and Japanese.
Azzura One’s clients include many top tier suppliers within the spirits, confectionary and wellness sectors such as William Grants, Edrington, Arnotts and Blackmores.
A strong passion and dream of mine is to provide opportunities to those less fortunate and I do this by sponsoring 18 children from such countries as Haiti, Nepal, Myanmar and Mongolia from primary school to university.
Jay Desamito – Operations Manager
Languages: Tagalog (Native), English (Full Professional Proficiency), Spanish and Indonesian (limited working Proficiency)
Jay Desamito is the Operations Manager of Azzurra One Enterprise and responsible for the commercial management, customer relationship and human resource management of the company.
Prior to joining Azzurra, Jay worked in customer relations with such companies as David Jones, Santos Tea and Coffee, American Express and Plaza Premium Lounge.
Jay has an impeccable reputation and consistently exceeds expectations. The key to his success is his sincerity to customers and trustworthiness to management and his peers. Jay’s loyalty to the company is unequivocal.
Jay also holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Diploma of Business Management (obtained in Australia). He is also a Registered Nurse, having obtained his qualifications in the Philippines.
Evon Lee – Location Manager, Brisbane Airport
Languages: Fluent Mandarin and English
I love working as a spirit and wine enthusiast at Azzurra One. I have a deep interest in the large range of products we promote in the duty free area.

As a team leader in the Brisbane International Airport Duty Free I strive to provide effective guidance and motivation for my team members to reach our sales targets. I am extremely proud of my team members as we all work cooperatively and professionally in the fast-paced duty-free environment.
Helen Kupfer – Location Manager, Melbourne Airport
Languages: Spanish and English
Helen is celebrated for her experience in human resources, people handling, and everything else in between. Her wealth of career knowledge and community involvement, ranging from large scale importation management to international humanitarian efforts, have been highly influential in shaping her first class, compassionate, and adaptive approach to her work.
Since arriving in Australia seven years ago, Helen has been a valued part of the Azzurra One team. Now well acquainted with the ins and outs of the Duty-free store, her knowledge of exceptional customer service, team development, and training of new staff is imparted to her team and peers.
Helen is known for her effective communication, team management, attention to detail, and desire to achieve. An exceptional motivator, she ensures her team is empowered to excel in the workplace, evidenced by her team continually exceeding their sales targets.
